The Fuerteventura to Lanzarote ferry
The short route runs from Corralejo, in the north of Fuerteventura, to Playa Blanca at the southern tip of Lanzarote. Three companies sail it: Fred. Olsen Express, Baleària and Líneas Romero. Crossings take around 25 to 35 minutes, depending on the company and the vessel.
Playa Blanca here is the ferry port on Lanzarote. It is not the town beach of Puerto del Rosario, which has the same name. This is an independent guide, not run by a ferry company. Fares are published examples for 2026 and change by date, so check the operator before you travel.

The three operators compared
Facts as published by the companies. Fares depend on date and passenger type.
| Operator | Vessel and crossing | Departures | Vehicles | Fares |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Fred. Olsen Express | Bocayna Express, about 25 minutes; Buganvilla Express, about 35 minutes | Up to 12 a day | Bocayna Express carries passengers and vehicles; Buganvilla Express passengers only | Advertised from €5.12, which is a resident fare; other fares are shown at booking |
| Baleària | Volcán de Tindaya, about 35 minutes | Up to 7 on weekdays, up to 6 at weekends | Vehicles carried | Depends on date, seat category and vehicle |
| Líneas Romero | About 30 minutes | Five a day in the 2026 guide, times approximate | – | Adult €20 single, €38 return; child €10 single, €20 return (indicative) |
The low price of €5.12 on the Fred. Olsen site is a resident fare for the passenger ferry. Do not read it as the fare for every passenger. Resident fares on the Líneas Romero guide are €5 single and €9.50 return for adults, and €2.50 and €5 for children.

Getting to the port from Puerto del Rosario
The ferry leaves from Corralejo, about a bus ride north.
By bus
Line 6 links Puerto del Rosario and Corralejo, with a published fare of €3.40 each way. Harbour departures are marked separately in the timetable. The airport buses do not run on to Corralejo, so travellers from the airport change in the capital.
Corralejo guide →With a hire car
A ferry may offer places for vehicles, but that does not mean your rental company lets you take the car to another island. Read your contract before you drive onto a ferry.
A different route
Baleària also lists a ferry from Puerto del Rosario to Arrecife on Lanzarote, taking about 2 hours, with one departure a week on Monday at 03:00. That is another route from the Corralejo to Playa Blanca crossing. Check the current schedule before you plan around it.
Cruise port guide →Before you book
Four points that decide what you pay and when you arrive.
Passenger type
Resident, adult and child fares differ, and a low advertised price may apply only to residents. Choose the passenger type that matches you, and check the final price in the booking step.
Date and seat
Baleària says the price depends on the date, availability, seat or cabin category and any vehicle. A price seen for one day does not carry over to another.
Boarding time
Boarding on the Baleària crossing closes 25 minutes before departure, so arrive at the port earlier than the sailing time. Allow for the walk and the ticket check.
Return crossing
For a day trip, fix the last return sailing before you leave. Times on the operators' sites change with the season, and the examples above are approximate.
