A resort in a sheltered bay

Caleta de Fuste lies on the east coast, south of Puerto del Rosario. Its main beach, Playa del Castillo, sits in a bay behind the harbour wall. The official tourism service describes light sand and a sheltered position. Sheltered does not mean free of currents, so follow the beach flags and the lifeguards, and never swim when the red flag is up.

The resort is a convenient base if you want a beach near the airport. A Caleta hotel states 7 km to the airport, and the bus runs to Puerto del Rosario. This is an independent guide. It has no link to the resort, the marina or any hotel. Prices are as published in 2026.

Beach, marina and getting around

The basics for a day in the resort.

Playa del Castillo

The bay is protected by the harbour wall. Conditions still change from day to day. Read the flag on arrival and take the advice of the lifeguards.

The marina

The El Castillo marina is the centre of the resort. A hotel in the resort puts it 150 m from its door. Entry, boat trip prices and parking fees at the marina are not fixed here, so ask on site.

Winter hours
